Cookie Policy

Last updated September 1, 2026 · version 2026-09-01

What sitterz.com stores in your browser, and why there is no cookie banner asking you to accept it.

1. The short version

sitterz.com sets only the cookies needed to sign you in and keep the site working. There is no analytics cookie, no advertising cookie, and no tracking pixel — not on the marketing site, and not on any signed-in page of the Service.

A consent banner exists to get permission for non-essential cookies. We do not set an analytics cookie, so we do not show a banner for one. Independently of cookies, a first-party, cookie-free beacon records page and engagement measurements as described in the Privacy Policy; Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track skip even that counting.

2. The cookies we set

CookieWhat it doesHow long it lasts
`sitterz_session`Keeps you signed in. Signed, so it cannot be altered. The session
`sitterz_mfa`Remembers that you completed a two-factor check.The session
`sitterz_device`Recognises a device you have signed in from before, so we can tell you about a sign-in from a new one.Up to 365 days
`sitterz_pick`Remembers which workspace you chose when your account has more than one.The session
`sitterz_g_state`A short-lived value that protects the Google sign-in exchange from tampering.Minutes
`sitterz_admin_return`Lets a Sitterz administrator return to their own account after supporting a business. The session
`sitterz_csrf`A token the page sends back with every change you make, so another site cannot make changes as you. Readable by the page on purpose; it holds nothing about you.30 days

All of these are strictly necessary. Blocking them will stop you being able to sign in, which is the only thing they do.

3. Websites published by businesses

A business that builds its website with Sitterz can add its own analytics or advertising tags — Google, Meta, Microsoft, LinkedIn, TikTok. That is its choice, on its own site.

Where a business has done so, its site shows a consent banner and the tags do not load until a visitor accepts. A visitor's choice is stored in a first-party cookie named `sz_consent` for 180 days and can be changed at any time. The business, not Sitterz, is responsible for those tags and for its own cookie disclosures.

4. If this changes

If we ever add an analytics vendor, an advertising cookie, or any other non-essential cookie to sitterz.com, we will publish a consent banner and update this page before it starts collecting anything, and we will name the vendor here.
